In Japanese Pediatric Acupuncture a special tool called a tapping needle; "teishin" or "enshin", is used. The tapping needle was especially developed for children as a non-invasive, painless treatment, which does not pierce the skin. The technique is like a gentle tapping or soft stroking or rolling over the skin. It works by stimulating specific acupuncture points and meridians. Some children even fall asleep during the treatment because it relaxes them.

Acupuncture is a universal treatment protocol that can be used to treat many chronic and acute conditions commonly found in children: Earaches, headaches, fevers, allergies including hay-fever, chronic, conjunctivitis, autotoxemia, eczema, infant rash, asthma, bronchitis, nightmares and sleep problems, and bedwetting.

If your child has a sensitive disposition, or is often ill, it is worth considering pediatric acupuncture. Nowadays, modern western medicine prescribes many drugs (antibiotics) to treat colds and infections in children. Recently, intractable otitis media (ear infection) has been found to be caused by a resistant bacteria and does not respond to drugs. This is caused by the over use of antibiotics. Pediatrics acupuncture helps heal illness without drugs and without the uncomfortable side effects of western medicine. Pediatric Acupuncture is a very gentle and relaxing experience for the child and for the parent.
